Co-Founders of TYS Cambodia

Ms. Touch Likhedy, Co-Founder and National Advisor

Touch Likhedy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a concentration on International Relations and another Bachelor of Arts degree in Law with a concentration on International Criminal and Human Rights Law. She is now a research fellow at EANGAGE Project: Think Next, Act Next – The Next Generation EU-ASEAN Think Tank Dialogue that is funded by the European Commission doing research on food security. At the same time, with her passion in the legal field, she is running as the President leading the Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) Cambodia Chapter. Professionally, Likhedy is currently employed as a Program Manager at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Cambodia, a German political think-tank operating worldwide. She is responsible for projects in the areas of environment and climate change, sustainable development, energy security, and women’s empowerment.

Mr. Lim Chhay, Co-Founder and National Advisor

Lim Chhay is an Honour Graduate from the Royal University of Phnom Penh with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, concentration on International Relations. Prior to tertiary education, Chhay got National Grade A in his high school diploma, which was then awarded by Prime Minister Hun Sen in Peace Palace in 2016. He is currently employed as a Programme Officer at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Cambodian Office, a German Political Think-Tank operating worldwide. Prior to that, he has dedicated himself for almost two years with three important internship positions, assistant and interpreter to the Spokesperson of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Communication and Knowledge Management National Intern at the United Nations Development Programme in Cambodia and a Junior Research Associate at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Cambodia.

Mr. Vong Saravuth, Chapter Leader

Saravuth is a fresh graduate from the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy (IISPP), Royal University of Phnom Penh. In 2022, he was a recipient of the Global UGRAD 2021-2022 to study Political Science at the State University of New York, Plattsburgh in the United States of America. Currently, he is working as a Project Assistant in the ICT Policy Department of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. He is also a Deputy Chapter Leader of the Young SEAkers Cambodia. In the past, I doubted what community I should join, but now I have found that The Young SEAkers is the Answer.

Ms. Ty Naoly, Programme Co-Lead

Naomy Ty is a senior scholarship student majoring in global affairs at the American University of Phnom Penh. With her strong self-determination to improve soft skills such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving, she has been involved in volunteer works and school extracurricular activities. In 2022, she was selected for the Erasmus+ exchange program in Romania, and she believes that this experience was an invaluable contribution to self-development. Currently, Naomy is a part of the TYS Cambodia family as a Programme Co-Lead. She is really grateful to have this opportunity and hopes to grow and learn more from everyone.

Mr. Try Kimpor, Programme Co-Lead

Mr. Kimpor Try is a junior majoring in International Relations and Political Science at Paragon International University. With a passion for volunteering and helping others, he has a strong interest in the relationship between China and the United States, as well as ASEAN. Open-minded and eager to learn, he is dedicated to expanding his knowledge and making a positive impact on society. Being able to be a part of The Young SEAkers Cambodia Chapter as Programme Co-Lead is a great opportunity for him to grow and provide for everyone.

Ms. Him Sinoun, Media and Digital Communication Lead

Sinoun is pursuing her senior year majoring in International Relations at the Institution for International Studies and Public Policy, RUPP. Along with her previous volunteer experience and internship at the U.S Embassy Phnom Penh, she has gradually grown her interests and curiosity on digitalization. In the context of TYS Cambodia, she has a strong endorsement to cooperate with everyone in the team so that she could contribute and make an impact for Cambodia society as a whole.

Ms. Chen Sreypich, Research Co-Lead

Sreypich is currently a senior student majoring in Global Affairs at the American University of Phnom Penh. To explore more about herself, she has participated in various programs which allow her to gain many experiences. Research is one of her interests while foreign policy, diplomacy, and economy are her interest topics. She has a good personality, and she wants to be a professor.

Ms. Soukhon Malika, People and Education Lead

Malika is a junior scholarship student majoring in International Studies at Institute of International Studies and Public Policy. Beyond her academics, she is a person who always seeks opportunities to develop her personal growth, expanding network and actively involved in volunteer work. As a person, she is kind, enthusiastic, well planned, optimistic and supportive. She believed education would bring people to where they dream, and as part of TYS, she hopes to bring many great opportunities to youth to unlock their potential. Malika joined TYS Cambodia in July 2022 as Junior Research Officer, right now she is People and Education Lead working and enhancing membership experience, academic and personal growth.

Ms. Say Vichara, Deputy Leader

Vichara SAY is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degrees in International Relations at the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy, Royal University of Phnom Penh, and Law at Royal University of Law and Economics. With the complementarity of the two majors and several years of exposure to voluntary works for serving community, Vichara strongly believes in the role of education in improving people’s capacity for their personal development and also for their society. Public policies and foreign policies are her areas of interests.

Ms. Porchou Ear, Deputy Leader

Porchou Ear is currently a 3rd year student, studying bachelor’s of Economics at Thammasat University in Thailand. She was granted the fully-funded scholarship by the university. She joined TYS Cambodia as a Public Relation officer at the beginning of 2022, and a year later she is up for the new challenges, becoming the Deputy Chapter Leader along with the other two Deputy. Since she is a person who loves to challenge herself, she wants to bring the betterment for the community.

Ms. Heng Liessa, Public Relations Co-Lead

Liessa is a fresh graduate from Institute of International Studies and Public Policies, majoring in International Relations.

Ms. Sou Sovattey Public Relations Co-Lead

Ms. Sou Sovattey is a senior student majoring in International Relations at the Institution for International Studies and Public Policy, RUPP. She has always been a passionate person with a strong determination to explore new experiences. Thus, this mindset has unlocked many opportunities for Vattey to expose herself to new challenges and strengthen her connection with other people. Before TYS, she was a Protocol Assistant Intern at the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh and has also participated in several Youth competitions as well as volunteer programs. She believes that TYS Cambodia will continue to be a platform to inspire youths and a place to help her to grow stronger.

Ms. Song Lauren, Research Co-Lead

Lauren is a junior majoring in International Studies at the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy (IISPP). Given her academic interests in foreign policy and the relationship between economic and social development, she has been actively involved in extracurricular activities, such as joining training programs, conferences, and events that help expand her knowledge in accordance with her interests and beyond. She is now a Research Co-lead for The Young SEAkers Cambodia, and she is determined to give her work nothing but the greatest. Lauren is a conscientious, meticulous, and reliable person.

Ms. Hong Chanboramey, Finance Lead

Boramey is a junior at CamEd Business School majoring in Accounting and Finance. She has always been very interested in unlocking the potential of Cambodian youths by taking contributions to various volunteer works. Besides her academic routine, Boramey has been involved in one of the CamEd school clubs as well as the Finance Department in TYS Cambodia. In one year with TYS, Boramey has exposed herself to many practical experiences aligned with her career field. From helping with financing work, she is inspired to promote more productive content shared via the TYS Cambodia platforms.

Mr. Bunn Menghor, Digital Communications Officer

Bunn Menghor is currently an undergraduate in his junior year pursuing a Bachelor of Political Science in Politics and International Relation with a full scholarship at Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. Menghor develops his interests in fields related to political science in which he currently studies a minor of Governance and Transnational Studies. With his pursuit in fields related to politics and international relations, Menghor is incredibly interested in politics, international relations, foreign policy, diplomacy, history, culture, governance and transnational studies, social development, freedom and rights, and educational development. He joined TYS Cambodia as a Digital Communications Officer in late 2021.

Ms. Hong Chanboramey, Finance Officer

Boramey is a sophomore majoring in Accounting and Finance at CamEd Business School and Management at the National University of Management. She is passionate about building efforts for her future career along with creating valuable networks and experiences with various people. Her life turning point started when she exposed herself to working with amazing people from ASEAN countries at The ASEAN University Summer Startup Bootcamp 2021. Her team invented Medigo and won 3rd place. She then eagers to join more related ASEAN projects including The China-ASEAN Youth Talk 2021, The Korean-ASEAN International Conference 2021 and the UYFCPP’s Chinese Scholarships Workshop, 2021. She always aimed to learn more and in July the same year Boramey was offered a full scholarship to learn a second language, as well as becoming a member at The UYFCPP. Therefore, by joining TYC she hopes to not only enhance the valuable work skills in specific fields but various, and to learn how to share through this amazing platform. Granted such an amazing opportunity, Boramey hopes to participate in promoting the potential in Cambodian youths and do her best to help the team for the betterment.

Ms. Yim Salinda, Programmes Officer

Salinda is a senior student majoring in Business Administration at the American University of Phnom Penh. As a young active citizen, she believes that initiatives from young people could really make an impact on the community that we live in which is why she decided to be a part of TYS Cambodia. She is certain that TYS Cambodia is a platform where she could exchange ideas and experiences with young talented individuals who are eager to learn and grow. Salinda is passionate in improving the education sector for Cambodian youths and her focus is around enhancing soft and hard skills for students especially in the rural area.

Ms. Ho Sok Chinh, Public Relations Officer

Sok Chinh is a sophomore at the Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL) of the Royal University of Phnom Penh, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies under a scholarship. Her interest includes understanding and analyzing the region and world politics and the business and financing field. To complement her interest in regional affairs, she seeks to find new opportunities and challenges in various regional organizations, which landed her a position in TYS Cambodia. Besides academic life, she has participated in a few volunteering programs, such as becoming a member of AIESEC Cambodia and a Cambodian delegate to the ASEAN Youth Conference 2021. Lately, she has been into the economy and finance and has been self-studying about entrepreneurship and investing. By becoming part of this youth-led regional organisation, she aspires to expand her knowledge and skills dynamically in the field of politics, focusing on Southeast Asia’s relations with China and the superpower, and deepening her understanding of entrepreneurship and business-related fields.

Mr. Vong Saravuth, Programme Officer

Saravuth is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a major in International Relations at the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Royal University of Phnom Penh. He believes that cross-border collaboration among youths is significant as it connects not only youth-to-youth but also country-to-country relations of today and tomorrow. Apart from school, he is also passionate in video content creation which aims to inspire young people to learn more about history, international relations, and self-development. He joined TYS Cambodia in August 2021 as a Programme Officer.

Ms. Him Sinoun, Digital Communications Officer

Sinoun is a junior student majoring in International Studies at the Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL). As an optimistic youth, she has also been involved in many projects like UN Volunteer, ASEM-Youth Summit 2021, as well as the Model ASEAN Summit 2021 that enhance her hard and soft skills. During the training of Creative Hub under the U.S Ambassador’s Youth Council (AYC), her team won the first place in running a campaign on social media, and this leads her to work in the role of Digital Communication. Having studied further about global politics; especially the diplomatic relations between ASEAN and China, she used to be part of the SEAkers’ Young Writers project. Likewise, she believes that TYS Cambodia is not only a magnificent platform to stabilize and improve regional diplomatic advancement, but it is also a platform that helps young people receive insightful understanding about their identity. This will cement solidarity rather than cause regional chaos.

Ms. Ear Porchou, Public Relations Officer

Porchou is currently a sophomore, majoring in Economics international program at faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, Thailand under the full scholarship. Her interest in youth development has started since she finished her high school and was exposed to various community activities via volunteering. Prior to joining TYS Cambodia, she had involved in few education related events organized by FUSAAC which had inspired to make an impact in society, especially in the education field. She also believes that youths can also make an impactful in a nation’s society; thus, by becoming a member of TYS Cambodia, she aims to contribute her efforts along with the team to make a change in Cambodia’s society.

Ms. Chen Sreypich, Junior Research Officer

Sreypich is a junior student majoring in Global Affairs at the American University of Phnom Penh. Regarding education and school activity, she got National Grade A in her high school diploma in 2019 and is currently a junior representative of the Student Government. She has a deep interest in researching fields because she believes writing is a way that she can express her voice that she is unable to say. As a junior author, she has been working for the SEED, a community to share knowledge and analyze global events.  She can work in a demanding atmosphere and seeks to learn something new to extend her knowledge and vision, and she believes that “coming out of my comfort zone will enable me to explore more about myself and overcome my fears.”

Ms. Song Lauren, Junior Research Officer

Song Lauren is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Royal University of Phnom Penh. In addition to being a student, she has held the position of English trainer. Moreover, she used to work as a Translation Officer at a private company. Her varied experiences show that she is diligent, devoted, and aspirational, constantly looking for new opportunities. She perceives The Young SEAkers Cambodia as an expanding organization with plenty of potential teams and is excited to be a part of it. She has a strong interest in the research field; thus, she firmly believes that TYS Cambodia is a stepping stone for her to achieve the greatest. In her current role as the Junior Research Officer, she is determined to engage in research and contribute her knowledge, time, and effort to the team and the organization for the best interest.

Ms. Mok Mony Duongchan, Public Relations Officer

Despite being a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance undergraduate, Mony takes great interest in volunteering and contributing to society. She has been a part of several communities and projects, such as being a content creator at Junior Chamber International Cambodia, a Logistic Leader in a few Khmer Cultural Events for Union Youth Federation of Cambodia, as well as a Partnership member for Startup Grind. In 2021, Mony organized a Foundation to Support Khmer Cultural Development Institute for Kampot Traditional Music School for Orphaned and Disabled Children. These experiences brought Mony to The Young SEAkers Cambodia Chapter as a Public Relations Officer; and shaped her into the person she is today.

Ms. Nol Daravysaiy, Junior Programmes Officer

Nol Daravysaiy is currently an undergraduate student, majoring in English and International Studies at the Institutes of Foreign Languages of the Royal University of Phnom Penh. Besides studying, she is also currently working as a part-time English teacher at a private school in Phnom Penh. Vysaiy also has a great passion and interest in getting involved in social framework activities like volunteering and participating in many training programs. Currently, she is volunteering at the Independent Press Alliance Association (IPA) and The SEED Cambodia as a junior article writer. She strongly believes that being active and invoking more in social work will not only benefit society but herself as well, as it helps her to gain experiences that will greatly benefit her self-development.

Ms. Sou Sovattey, Digital Communications Officer

Sovattey is a junior student majoring in International Studies at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. She has always been a passionate person with a strong determination to explore new experiences. Thus, this mindset has unlocked many opportunities for Vattey to expose herself to new challenges and to strengthen her connection with other people. Before TYS, she was a Protocol Assistant Intern at the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh and has also participated in several Youth competitions and volunteer programs such as the World Scholar’s Cup, the Cambodia Book Fair, Ignite PP5, and TEDxRUPP2020. She is currently a digital communications officer at TYS Cambodia. She believes that TYS Cambodia will continue to be a platform to inspire youths and a place to help her to grow stronger.

Ms. Sreng Minea, Public Relations Officer

Sreng Minea is a senior student from CamEd Business School, pursuing an accounting and finance degree. Based on her prior experiences, she was trained to become an energetic and courageous youth, she has exposed herself in the society by communicating and working with potential people in various fields. She takes initiative and challenges herself by exploring new things and upgrading her competency to the next level. As senior university student, she also works full-time as finance at J7 Partners law firm, where international clients can seek for the best strategic solutions for their issue. She has a belief on the  team building will help improve communication skill that she find it is crucial element for her future career.

Ms. Soukhon Malika, Junior Research Officer

Soukhon Malika is a sophomore majoring in International Studies at the Institution of Foreign Languages. Currently, she works part-time as an English instructor at a private school in Phnom Penh. Malika has a strong passion for volunteering, she currently runs the volunteer committee for ASEAN youth events. As an IR student, she is strongly interested in the research field, and she is a junior research officer at TYS. She is confident that joining TYS will help develop both her writing and critical-thinking skills. She is willing to learn, hopes to share ideas with TYS seniors and expects to see a better version of herself after joining TYS.

Ms. ly Sunguech, Public Relations Officer

Ly Sunguech is a senior in Business Administration major at American University of Phnom Penh. Following her internship experiences as a Project-Based Intern at Edenbridge Asia and Cultural Affair Intern at the Public Affair Section, U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh, she continues her journey by joining The Young SEAkers Cambodia team as a Junior Programme Officer in hopes of strengthening relationships between ASEAN and China, improving her networking and communication skills, as well as contributing to a better change with other like-minded youth.

Mr. Soeun Brosnuth, Public Relations Officer

Soeun Brosnuth is a senior at the Institute of Foreign Languages majoring in B.Ed. (TEFL) and a sophomore at the Department of Media and Communication majoring in BA in Media Management. He was awarded by the Prime Minister in 2017 for his Grade A achievement in the High School national examination. As a media and communication student, he is fascinated by the current rapid growth of mass media in Cambodia and he is passionate about studying the impact of media and globalization in the country. Being able to be a part of The Young SEAker Cambodia Chapter as a Digital Communication Officer is a great opportunity for him to use his previous experience and knowledge in media management to a good advantage. He also hopes to learn from a team full of motivated and committed youths to build a better and more competent future generation.

Ms. Chea Chantevy, Junior Programmes Officer

Tevy is a senior student majoring in International Relations at Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh. She is passionate about participating in combating social issues including gender inequality, racism, colorism,..etc; therefore, she has involved herself in many organizations such as ActionAid Cambodia, and Cambodian Journal of Humanities Social Science. Beyond her passion, she also has a strong interest in the legal and compliance fields as she is currently a member of ALSA Cambodia, and her professional career, a Compliance Oversight Officer in the banking industry. As a Junior Programme Officer at TYS, she believes that she will be able to gain more experience and knowledge, especially in the dynamic team that is full of energetic, passionate, and open-minded youths. Together with TYS, she hopes to organize programs that benefit all ASEAN youths.

Ms. Lim Soklay, Digital Communications Officer

Soklay is a senior student at the Royal University of Phnom Penh pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree of Management in Tourism. She is currently a digital communications officer at TYS Cambodia.
